How we integrate protection into clothing

To make protective clothing suitable for everyday use, we consider freedom of movement, comfort and design throughout development.

Protective clothing

We began with CE-marked hoodies as personal protective equipment for children and adults. We are building on these with the Hoodie 2.0 (Protector Pro X) and the development of shirts, jackets and trousers.

02 / About Lowther

Why we develop protective clothing

We founded Lowther Swiss Armour to protect people and take responsibility. We continue this work as Lowther Swiss Defence.

We want people to be able to rely on us. That means keeping our word and treating our colleagues, partners and the people who wear our products with respect.

03 / Testing and production

How protective functions are tested

We consider the intended protective function from the design stage through to material selection. It also determines the testing and certification for each product.

01Testing laboratories and certification

Testing and certification depend on the individual protective function and applicable European guidelines. We work with accredited testing laboratories and the Hohenstein Institute as a German certification body.

02Product protection details

The stated properties of each product describe its protective function. They also provide specific details on testing and certification.

03Working with our producers

We work closely with our producers and have developed personal connections and friendships. We speak openly with each other and share a commitment to careful manufacturing.
